Position Summary: Handyman Technician
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Handyman Technician to join our small handyman team. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship and customer service for our client while performing various home remodel, maintenance and repair tasks. As a technician, you will be responsible for managing work orders assigned to you and ensuring that all remodels and/or maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. This position reports to the lead technician and is responsible for providing the best experience possible for our clients. Technicians are also expected to keep track of tools and maintain vehicles used. There will also be opportunities to utilize and train technician assistants in various projects and work orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alone and alongside other handyman technicians to perform maintenance, repair, and construction tasks while ensuring they are completed within specified timelines and budget constraints
- Interact with clients in a professional manner to understand their requirements, provide recommendations, and offer cost-effective solutions
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and supplies in vehicles to ensure efficient workflow
- Coordinate with lead technician to replenish supplies and equipment as needed
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Qualifications
- Willingness to work as part of a team and take direction from lead technicians
- Proven experience in a handyman, construction or maintenance technician role
- Proficiency in various maintenance and repair tasks carpentry, painting, and general handyman services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying materials and equipment
- Willingness to work outside in all types of weather
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- 3 – 5 years construction, carpentry and other home repair services experience is required
- Experience driving and backing up trailers
Compensation
- Starting pay of $25/hr during 60 day probationary period
- After probationary period, pay ranging $30 – $35 per hour based on experience
- Major Holidays off
- Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm work schedule
